Acquitted of charges of murder and rape

'The Cuckoo' convicted only to cover up the disappearance and death of Marta del Castillo

First sentence for the case of the disappearance and death of Marta del Castillo. The child nicknamed "El Cuco" has been convicted of aiding and acquitted of murder and rape. The ruling was publicized on Thursday the head of the Juvenile Court No 1 of Sevilla, Alejandro Vian, who has condemned Javier GM to three years of confinement in a juvenile facility and then be two more years on probation.

During the trial the past months of January and February, the Office of Children for the defendant requested a sentence of six years of detention in a closed center, followed by three years probation for the crime of murder, two of assault sexual-one the author directly and another to facilitate sexual assault perpetrated by Miguel Carcano, and one against the person for damage caused to parents by not disclosing the whereabouts of the body.

Finally, if the judge "did not consider there is sufficient evidence the direct participation of the child in all of the facts ", the prosecution asked to be convicted of a crime of concealment, asking in this case three years detained in closed facilities.
